Why can’t my linux pc and my wii connect to the same network at the same time?
Basically when ever my linux pc is connected to my wireless network, i can’t connect to the wireless network on my wii. Occasionally i can get both connected but not for very long. Also if i have them both connnected , on my linux I will get a message from BT telling me that i am not connected to a BT Broadband Line, when I am because i spent the last hour on the internet.
Can anybody help or have they got the same issue?
Hi, it depends on your router. You need to setup wireless linking properly. try another encryption method. i know WEP is insecure but WII works great with WEP and has trouble with WPA2 + etc.
Linux also needs assisted wireless drivers or AWD. Depends on your distro and architecture. Look up on your linux distro forums

How do you set up a router to work with the xbox?
I bought one of those routers that supposedly if you connect to the back of the xbox via ethernet cable then you should be able to communicate to your network and connect to xbox live. If you want to know the router since it doesnt have a specific name, just go on ebay and search “Wireless N Network Router Adapter for Xbox 360 PS3 Wii” I looked online and I tried to set up the router to act as a client. When I plug it in to the xbox I get the “DNS cannot be resolved” issue. I have the xbox set up to automatic and it is getting the info from the router. I am wondering does anyone have one of these routers and if so how did you set it up to connect to xbox live.
